Order and Comfort in the Court: Giles County Courthouse, Pulaski, Tennessee
For more than a century, citizens, employees, attorneys and patrons seeking justice at the Giles County Courthouse in Pulaski, Tennessee had to struggle for comfort as well. That was before the Unico System was installed. The flexible small-ducts of the system were routed throughout the 100+ year-old structure without major remodeling, preserving the integrity of the original architecture that includes 30-foot high ceilings. Now, ten 5-ton units are successfully cooling each courtroom, bringing both order and comfort to the court.
A Breath of Fresh Air For The Hon Company, Manufacturers of Office Furniture The heat and humidity in Muscatine, Iowa can often become overwhelming, especially if you're an employee working on an assembly line. So the Hon Company installed 25 Unico Systems (both 3 and 5-ton systems) throughout their Oak Lamination Plant. The systems provide 100% outside air and are used to spot cool the plant's assembly line workers. This successfully helped to eliminate worker illness and absenteeism due to heat stress. The Hon Company was so impressed with the performance of the system and the results at the plant, they installed Unico Systems in their Rome, Georgia plant and Mount Pleasant, Iowa factory.
The Military Salutes The Unico System The Unico System has been successfully installed in a number of military and government buildings throughout the country:
Fort Dix Army Base, Fort Dix, NJ The Unico System was first installed in the Headquarters Administrative Building. Satisfied with its performance, the Army then installed the system in Scott Plaza, a barracks unit which was being remodeled into 22 separate housing units for base officers. When the Army undertook the Hammerhead Barracks project, a major remodeling effort to transform the barracks units into classrooms and living quarters, it once again called upon the Unico System. The project was so successful that it now serves as a model for all Army bases across the country.
The U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis - Annapolis, MD Upon receiving a call that the 5 ton Unico System unit installed at the administrative offices of the Naval Academy wasn't working, a Unico System Representative arrived on the scene to find it performing perfectly. It's just that the system operated so quietly that the office folks assumed it wasn't functioning properly! So pleased with the performance of the system, the Naval Academy contracted for 11 more bungalow installations and all 84 apartment units on the Academy grounds.

This manufacturer of high quality plastic lenses uses a 4' diameter machine that rotates the lenses in a lapping
compound to smooth the lenses and remove irregularities. Temperature and humidity are critical factors in
ensuring top operation of this process. So the manufacturer chose to install a 5-ton Unico System with a hot water
coil. This provides both heating and cooling to the lapping process and also helps to eliminate humidity. The results
are clear. Since installation of the Unico System, defects and irregularities due to humidity and temperature have
virtually been eliminated.

All Over The Country

At the Graceland Estate in Memphis, Tennessee, visitors climbing aboard the "Lisa Marie" airplane for a tour are cooled by the Unico System. In Rockford, Illinois, four 5-ton Unico Systems provide cooling for the Ogle County Jail. The small diameter of the ductwork makes it impossible for inmates to stash contraband - not to mention escape through. At the University of Nebraska, the double-decker "Big Red Bus" with the Unico System installed in the upper chamber provides chilling relief to Huskers being transported to and from sporting events.
