TRAINING BIO'S
Ted Brown
Ted Brown is the Training Director for Unico, Inc. In this capacity he develops the
curriculum for the training department and approves all training material.
Additionally, he teaches Certified Product Training (CPT) and all Advanced
Certification classes for the Unico System.
Ted has been in contracting, wholesale and
manufacturing in the HVAC/R industry for
his entire career which spans 28 years. No
matter what his position in the industry he
has always practiced his passion for
education. He was literally raised in the
HVAC /R and SDHV industries. His father
owned contracting, engineering, accounting
and wholesale stores in the mountain states
and was the original owner/inventor of the
Ice-O-Matic ice machine.
Ted started at Unico in 2003 in the Service
Dept. before moving in to the Training
Department and finally becoming Manager of
that group.

Mike Lindsay
Mike Lindsay is the Western Region Trainer for Unico Inc. Mike manages the Las
Vegas training facility and is the instructor for all Certified Training which takes
place there. In addition, Mike makes trouble shooting calls, as scheduled by Unico.
Mike's parents owned a heating business
so he essentially grew up in the industry.
For his parents he measured and roughed
in homes, made and installed the duct
system, then performed the check test
and startup. Since then Mike has had
extensive experience in the industry
working for Washington University, GE
and several large conventional HVAC
companies. His background includes lab
testing, commercial sales, technical rep
and various training positions.
In early 2005, Mike brought his experience, knowledge and teaching skills to Unico.
Since then both the company and hundreds of Dealers have benefited from Mike's
insight and knowledge and communications skill.
Mike's experience translates very well in the classroom which prompts lively
discussions about numerous topics and applications relating to the Unico System
including efficiency, capacity and refrigerant piping concerns with multiple
capacity machines.
